William, "Bill" S. Glatki

William, "Bill" S. Glatki, 93, a resident of the Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag
passed away on Monday at Miriam Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Frances (Kubaska) Glatki
Born, August 1, 1920 in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Stephen & Grace (Shevlin) Glatki. He resided
in Forestdale for many years before entering the Nursing home. Bill was a foreman for the former Taft-Peirce Co.
in Woonsocket for many years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the US NAVY during WWII, aboard
the USS Wilkes-Barre, attaining the rank of Chief Machinist Mate. Every year he attended the Cumberland Beagle Club
WWII Combat Veterans event. He was a 1938 graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy which he was on the varsity football
team. He is survived by a daughter, Gayla Glatki of Lincoln, RI, a brother, Robert Glatki of Lamesa, CA. a daughter in law
Claire Glatki , 2 grandchildren, Travis & Hannah Glatki of So. Carolina. He was the father of the late Gary Glatki.
Relatives & Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church
Harris Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Donations in William's
memory can be made to the Overlook Nursing Home, Activity Fund, 14 Rock Ave. Pascoag, RI, 02959.
