Victoria E. Jacks

Mrs. Victoria E. (Grzych) Jacks of 4310 Hammersmith Dr., Clermont, FL., formerely of 100 So. Main St.
Bellingham passed away of pneumonia on December 12, 2012 at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. She resided
with her daughter in Florida for over sixteen years before moving to Lake Bennett Rehab Center. She was the wife
of the late Clinton S. Jacks, who was well known in local aviation circles. Clinton and Victoria enjoyed many flying trips in thier
Taylorcraft around New England and to the islands.
Born in Woonsocket, RI the daughter of the late Simon and Anna (Wisniowska) Grzych, she lived in Bellingham for most
of her life before moving to Florida. She graduated from Woonsocket High Scholl in 1938. Mrs. Jacks was a seamstress
at the former McCarthy's Department Store and also worked at The Amperex Co. in No. Smithfield before retiring.
She was a communicant of the Polish National Catholic Church of Our Saviour in Woonsocket and a member of the
Juliusz Slowacki Choir. Her family was also a founding member of the Polish National Catholic Church and she served
on several church committees. She was also Secretary for Sponja District 34 for over 35 years.
She enjoyed politics and was on the Republican Town Committee in Bellingham for many years as well as Warden for District 5 in Bellingham for over 32 years. She was a volunteer with the Woonsocket Hospital Aide for over 40 years and also ran the
Candy Striper Group for several years. She enjoyed traveling and visited Poland and Europe several times.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Malcia Laurance of Clermont, FL and her son-in-law Dr. Geoffrey Laurance, a son,
Mr. Richard Jacks of No. Smithfield and his wife Shirley Jacks. She is also survived by two grandchildren,
Mrs. Roxanne Ladoucer of Blackstone and Mr. Gerald Voyer of Blandan, PA. and three great-grandchildren. She was the
sister of of the late Amelia Barby and Veronica Tomczyszyn. She loved her family and she will be dearly missed.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Polish National
Catholic Church of Our Saviour, 500 Smthfield Rd. Woonsocket, RI, Burial will be in the parish cemetery,
