Troy D. Marzetta, 49, of Lincoln, RI passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2021. He was the loving husband of Amy (Pristawa) Marzetta and devoted father to Abigail and Nicholas Marzetta. Born April 11, 1972 in Woonsocket, son of Alfred Marzetta of Blackstone, MA, and Rhonda (Cantoff) Marzetta of East Providence.
Troy was Vice President of Sales for 12 years for the Affinity Group in the New England area.
Troy especially enjoyed landscaping and beautifying his yard with unique plants and trees, fishing, vacations and travel, carpentry and all sports, especially his fantasy football league. His most precious moments were spending time with his family and bringing his friends together for many gatherings and special events.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Military Police during the Persian Gulf. He was also a 1998 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He was a member of the fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon chapter at the University of RI where he served as house father and made many lifelong friends.
Troy spent over 10 enjoyable summers at Camp Jori in Wakefield, RI as a camper, kitchen boy, and eventually becoming a camp counselor. His children are now following in his footsteps and love spending their summer at Camp Jori.
Besides his wife, children and parents he leaves his stepmother Patricia (Henderson) Marzetta of Blackstone, MA, his brother Jon and his wife Debra of East Providence, RI, two sisters Laurie and her husband David Peloquin of Millville, MA and Cheryl Geoffroy of Cumberland, RI. He was the son in law of Henry and Karen(Kubaska) Pristawa of Woonsocket, RI and also many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm in Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 2:00 pm.
Additional visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:30 am in Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, RI. Burial with Military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, 301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI.
