Sophie (Dypry) Podorozny, 90, a resident of the Holiday Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on
Saturday at the Holiday with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Paul G. Podorozny.
Born May 10, 1921, in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Paul & Josephine (Dul) Dypry, she resided in Cumberland for many years before residing in Lincoln. Sophie was a matron for the Cumberland
School Dept. before retiring. She loved to cook and go shopping with her family. Sophie was a generous
and care giving person who loved to spend time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and all her relatives and friends that knew her. Her memories will be in thier hearts and thoughts forever.
She is survived by 1 son: Larry Potter of Fredericksburg, VA. and a sister Anna Recorvits of Manville.
She was the loving grandmother to Jody, Scott & Tracie and loving great grandmother to Tim, Rachael & Logan.
She was the mother of the late Paul M. Podorozny and sister to the late Stanley Dypry. Relatives & Friends are invited to a Requiem Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. in the Polish National Catholic Church of Our Saviour, 500 Smithfield Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Polish National Catholic Church of Our Saviour. (Zip code-02895)
