STASIA MASNYK

Stasia (Demkiewicz) Masnyk, 89, of Woonsocket passed away on Tuesday at Landmark Medical Ctr. She was the loving wife of the late Wladyslaw "Walter" Masnyk. Born Sept. 14, 1925 in Przemsl, Poland, daughter of the late Victold & Teofila (Siewerga) Demkiewicz, she came to this country in 1960, settling in Woonsocket. Stasia was employed as a frame assembler at the Univis Frame Co., before retiring, she previously was employed for the former Tupperware Corp. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard Masnyk of Woonsocket, Mariusz Masnyk of Lincoln and a daughter Monica Kazik of Woonsocket. Also a sister Danuta Zalewski of Cumberland, 10 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Yolanda Canestrari & sister of the late Bolek & Tadeusz Demkiewicz, Antonina Trybalski & her sister Marysia Pilek who passed away on July 20th, (1 day before Stasia passed.) Her Funeral will be Monday, July 27th at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 174 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland.
