Robert W. Waitorwicz

Born in Woonsocket, RI to the late William and Nellie Waitorwicz, Robert graduated from the University of Rhode Island magna cum laude with a degree in Physics.

He was employed as an engineer at the Waltham Facility of the Raytheon Company for 35 years, retiring in 2015.

Mr. Waitorwicz is survived by his sister, Helen Recorvits and her husband Michael, his brother, Tad Waitorwicz and his wife Susan; and his nephews Michael R. Recorvits and Mark Recorvits.

Robert enjoyed music, movies, and all things science. He enjoyed model building as a hobby.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, at 9:00 A,M, from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, R.I., with a Requiem Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at the Polish National Catholic Church of Our Saviour, 500 Smithfield Road, Woonsocket, R.I. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery in Blackstone, MA. Relatives & Friends are invited. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) will be appreciated.
