Rene D. Laprise, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021, at the Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag.
Rene was born on November 16th, 1923, in Woonsocket to Eugene & Yvonne (Alarie) Laprise. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, deploying with the 585th Bombardment Group to England, France, Holland and other locations throughout the European Theater.
On July 3rd, 1948, he married Constance “Connie” Jolly of Burrillville. They were married for 69 years and, together they raised two sons. A longtime resident of Burrillville, he worked in textile manufacturing, once a prevalent industry throughout the area.
He is survived by two sons, Richard and his wife Denise, and David and his wife Debbie, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, a brother Paul and his wife Lorraine and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Connie, his brothers Herve, Norman, and Roger and sister Muriel Bekier.
A Private Service will be held with Military Honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery for the immediate family.Kubaskafuneralhome.com.
