Paul Yozura

Paul, the Uke, Yozura 89, formerly of Woonsocket
and Bayberry Commons, Pascoag passed away
unexpectedly at Landmark Medical Center on February 3, 2014.
He was married to Jo-Jo (Stantiski) Yozura and they celebrated
their 71 wedding anniversary on January 3, 2014. besides his wife he is survived
by his daughter Linda Vallee and her husband Ralph of North Smithfield,
his sister Olga Mowry and husband Al of Lynn, MA, a brother Vincent
Yozura and his wife Mary of Woonsocket, and several nieces and nephews.
before retiring Paul worked as a custodian for the Rhode Island State
Police at the Scituate and Lincoln barracks. Paul loved working outdoors
especially creating flower beds and grooming lawns. he was a parishioner
of Saint Stanislaus Church in Woonsocket and served as an usher when needed.
his entire adult life he enjoyed drawing and continued that passion every day
while at Bayberry along with doing word puzzles and listening to polka music.
arrangements were private and under the direction the Kubaska Funeral Home
in Woonsocket. Paul's ashes will be interned at a later date in a ceremony for his family.
