Mary (Bukata) Partridge

She was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Wasyl and Sophie (Sulima) Bukata. Her survivors are her sister Stella Bukata Klara of Jackson, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Michael and Steven Bukata and Anna Gudz.

After marrying in 1935, Mary and Allen lived in New York City, returning during World War II to work in local textile mills. They eventually opened their own business, A. R. Partridge Wholesale Tobacco and Candy, which was located for many years on Clinton Street in Woonsocket retiring in 1973. She and her husband enjoyed their vacation home in Hampton Beach, NH for many years. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed crocheting, and loved spending time with her family.

Calling hours will be on Friday, May 13 from 9:30am to 11am at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the chapel at the Saint Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield on Friday at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory can be made to the Special Care Unit, Saint Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
