Mary Letts, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020 in the Friendly Nursing Home.
Born in Woonsocket, and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Izak) Tabak. She was also the sister to the late John Tabak, Veronica Beasley, Theodore Tabak, Josephine St. Pierre, and Bartholomew Tabak.
Mary was a communicant and Eucharistic minister of St Charles Borromeo Church, and later a communicant at All Saints Parish, both in Woonsocket. She was an avid member of Legion of Mary and prayed for the sick at their bedside at Landmark Hospital. She worked as a Quality Inspector for many years at Needlecraft in Woonsocket, and at Healthtex in Cumberland, RI.
Mary loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed candy, polka music and dance, going out to eat and visiting LaSalette Shrine. She will be remembered for her small acts of kindness and saying: “family is everything”. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her loving children, Gary Letts of Woonsocket; Lisa Letts of Cape Cod; three grandchildren, Shannon, Jacob, and Rebecca; and three great-grandchildren, Adrian, Amaya and Soleil and many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be forever missed and always in their hearts.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Mary's life celebration on Wednesday August 19th at 11:00 am with a committal service of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery on Farm Road, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be respectfully omitted.
