Martin F. Klara, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus parish, passed away quietly with his family at his side on Friday, December 21.
Born on March 28, 1928, son of the late Martin and Stefania Klara, he was predeceased by his siblings, Peter, Jacob and Jennie Klara, Helen Bienkiewicz and Anna Pristawa.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Stasia (Czerkowicz) Klara, four children; Carol Kelley of Falls Church Virginia Martin G. Klara and Joseph Klara of Cumberland RI and Paula Klara of Naples Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Elizabeth and Allison Kelley, Alexandra Klara Winthrop, Martin K Klara and Kristina Klara, and one great grandson Colin MacLusky.
Martin was a Navy World War II veteran and a long term employee of US Rubber and the Woonsocket Housing Authority.
The family would like thank the nurses and staff of St. Antoine’s Residence for their kindness and care during these final months.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 27, at St Stanislaus Church, 174 Harris Ave. Woonsocket R.I. Burial will be Private.
