Marie (Glowacki) Berneche

Marie (Glowacki) Berneche, 107, a resident of the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville, formerly of Woonsocket and Johnston, RI, passed away peacefully on May 22nd at the Home. She was the wife of the late Glodome Berneche.

Born Oct. 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Tekla (Schewchuck) Glowacki. Marie was employed as a molder & a quality inspector at the former Tupperware Co. retiring in 1979. While living in Johnston she enjoyed & taught line dancing at the Johnston Senior Ctr. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and won many trophies participating in many tournaments.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Cappelli of No. Smithfield, RI and Marilyn Giugliano of Chatsworth, CA. She was the loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren. She was the mother to the late Richard Berneche. She was also the sister to the late Walter Glowacki, Annie Roy, Sophie Calo, and Josie Badeau.

Her Funeral will be Friday (May 30th) at 10:00 AM with a prayer service at 11:00 AM at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave, Woonsocket RI. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and Friends are invited.
