Lucille Pauline (Larue) Berling of Woonsocket passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2020, at the age of 76. A lifelong Woonsocket resident, Lucille was the wife of David Berling and daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Larue.
A retired teacher’s aide, Lucille worked for 20 years at Woonsocket High School, where she was held in high esteem and well respected for her dedication to the students she served. Lucille also volunteered her time at Landmark Hospital, and she took special pride in having earned a Pharmacy Technician Certification later in life.
Lucille is survived by her sister Constance (Larue) Kupidlowski of Charlestown, New Hampshire, sister Shirley (Larue) Stone and her husband Skip of Woonsocket, brother Ronald Larue and his wife Donna of West Boylston, Massachusetts, son Russell Lariviere and his wife Donna of Cumberland, daughter Kim Fagan of Woonsocket, son Raymond Lariviere of Woonsocket, son Brian Dubois of Lincoln, son Michael Dubois of Cumberland, son Joseph Botelho of Cranston, daughter Joann Botelho of Woonsocket, son Eric Botelho and his wife Jenn of Smithfield, as well as her thirty-two beloved grandchildren and twelve beloved great-grandchildren. Lucille was predeceased by her sons Glen Lariviere and Dennis Lariviere.
Lucille will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery in Douglas, Massachusetts. Funeral services and burial will be private. Lucille requested that those who wish to make donations in her memory consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
