Lorraine Adrienne Brissette, born to Fernando and Jeannette Carpentier on June 18, 1946, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 13th, 2026.
Born and raised in St. Adelphe, Canada, Lorraine later moved with her family to Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1965, where she built a life rooted in hard work, compassion, and devotion to those around her. She began working as a seamstress in one of Woonsocket’s knitting mills before eventually advancing her career to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that reflected her deeply caring nature and lifelong commitment to helping others.
Lorraine was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and welcoming smile. She was the kind of person who naturally cared for others, often making everyone around
her feel seen and loved. Her kindness, strength, and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving sons, Richard Brissette of Florida and Alfred Brissette Jr. of Rhode Island; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Gazail, Ashley Brissette, and Alyssa Brissette; and seven beloved great-grandchildren.
Lorraine is also survived by her siblings: Yves Carpentier of Florida, Alan Carpentier of Florida, Cecile Mulvaney of Massachusetts, Real Carpentier of Connecticut, Joel Cassidy pf Rhode Island, Fern Mercure of Massachusetts, Lise Carpentier of Canada, Rene Carpentier of Canada, and Jean-Claude Carpentier of Canada.
She was predeceased by her siblings
Marcel Carpentier, Celine Carpentier, Renald Carpentier, Suzie Goulet, and Mariett Dufresne.
Lorraine’s love for her family, her caring spirit, and the kindness she showed to others throughout her life will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
