Joyce ( Lockwood) Tomaszek, age 70, left this life, following a short term illness for a new life in heaven on Friday , November 24, 2023. Joyce was an active antiques seeker for over 40 years always selling at the famed Brimfield antique show. She was also a superb manicurist, working at Silver Scissors and Shear beauty salon in Blackstone. She loved camping and spent Spring, Summer and Winter at Witch Meadow Campground in Salem, Connecticut. She was active with the Cultural Counsel in the past for the town of Blackstone. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom Tomaszek, a sister and brother in law, Linda and Michael Warhol of Burrillville, a brother and sister in law, John and Jennifer Lockwood of Charlotte, North Carolina plus nieces, nephews and many, many friends. She was born in Woonsocket and was the daughter to the late Charles and Marie (Marcoux) Lockwood. In addition, she leaves her rescued canine best friend, Ziggy the min pin. Her Funeral will be on Tuesday, (Dec. 5, 2023), with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Divine Mercy Parish, (St. Paul’s Church). 48 St. Paul St. Blackstone, MA., a Christian Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, (Dec. 4th), at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to either Dog Orphans Douglas Massachusetts or Peace Dale Museum of Art and Culture, Wakefield, Rhode Island.
