With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joshua Mark Caya, who left us far too soon on May 22, 2025, in Rumford, Maine, at the age of 37.
Born December 25, 1987, in Woonsocket, RI, Joshua brought light and warmth into the lives of everyone who knew him. His kind heart, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty made him a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin & friend. Joshua had a unique way of making people feel seen and valued, and his presence will be forever missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Joshua is survived by his Mother, Kim Fagan of Woonsocket, RI; his Father, Gary Caya; & stepmother, Evelyn Caya of Pascoag, RI.
He is also survived by his sisters: Jennifer Fagan of Lincoln, RI, Courtney Isabelle of Blackstone, MA, Julia Fox of Woonsocket, RI. His brothers: Jamie & Zackery Caya of Woonsocket, RI.
He was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews:
Ayanna Ireland, Alana Fagan, Viviani Valentin, Raya Fox, Aria Caya, Caleb Caya, Christian Caya, Elijah Laprode, Cayden Caya, Carson Caya. All of whom he adored, loved and who brought immense joy to his life.
He leaves behind a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Joshua loved his family more than anything in the world. He was passionate about cars – especially customizing them – and took great pride in all his toys. Joshua was all about his style – always making sure his sneakers matched and always rocking a fitted hat. He also dearly loved his cats.
His Loyalty ran deep, and his love for those closest to him was unshakable. Relatives & friends are invited to visitation hours from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm followed by a memorial service to celebrate Joshua’s life on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave, Woonsocket, RI, 02895.
All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
