Josephine M. Kurek Josephine M. (Misiaszek) Kurek, 87, of Cynthia Dr., passed away
Peacefully on Monday at Landmark Medical Ctr. With her loving family by her side.
She was the loving wife of the late Lawrence J. Kurek. Born, Nov. 25, 1924 in No. Smithfield
She was the daughter of the late Jules & Sally (Curis) Misiaszek. She resided in No. Smithfield
Most of her life. Josephine was employed as a spinner at the former Bonte Spinning Co. for
32 years before retiring in 1982. She was a communicant and very active at the Polish National
Catholic Church of our Saviour in Woonsocket. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great
Grandmother, sister, and aunt and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy H. and her husband Jerry Ethier of No. Smithfield,
A daughter in law Joyce L. Kurek of No. Smithfield, 2 sisters, Julia Hutnak of Harrisville, RI,
& Wanda Misiaszek of No. Smithfield. She was the loving grandmother to 6 Grandchildren,
Christopher & Nicole Ethier, Jeffrey & Charlotte Ethier, Kerri & Tom Forbes, Keith & Santina
Kurek, Kyle & Julie Kurek & Kelli Kurek, also loving great grandmother to Elizabeth, Christopher, Matthew, Eric, Jacob & Michael. She also leaves nieces and nephews. She was the mother to the late L. "Mike" Kurek
And sister of the late Mary Rutka & Helen Calo. Her Funeral will be Friday at 9:00 A.M. from the
Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, with a Requiem Mass of Christian Burial
At 10:00 A.M. in the Polish National Catholic Church of our Saviour, 500 Smithfield Rd.
Woonsocket, burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
Polish National Catholic Church of our Saviour.
