Irene R. Laforest

Irene R. (Desfosses) Laforest, 97, of Harrisville, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on March 11th, at home. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur D. Laforest. Born, Dec. 17, 1918, in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred & Regina (Dussault) Desfosses. Irene was employed at the former Archway Cookie Co. in Woonsocket for many years. Her favorite pastime was sewing. She is survived by a daughter, with whom she resided with, Irene and her husband Eugene Gariepy of Harrsiville and a son Arthur and his wife Pauline Laforest of Bellingham, MA. She leaves 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ernest Desfosses & Loretta Vaillant. Relatives & Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, (April 1st), at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Church, So.
