Henry E. Krupa

Henry Ernest Krupa, 90, of Newport, RI, beloved husband of Mary Y. (Farland) Krupa, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014. He was born in Fall River, MA, on Aug. 21,1924 to the late Luke & Barbara Krupa. Henry served in the US Navy for 21 yrs. as Aviation Machinist Mate with duty stateside in CA & KS; overseas in Guadalcanal and the South Pacific, earning recognition for meritorious performance in servicing fighter squadrons. Henry also worked at General Motors, Bancroft and in general contracting. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary; his children Phyllis Seeba, Kevin and his wife Judith, Barbara Newcomb, Michael, Jeffrey and his wife Katy, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his sister, Genevieve Krupa.
He was the grandfather of the late Jonathan Krupa, father-in-law of the late Del Seeba and brother of the late Joseph and Ernest Krupa.Henry believed what mattered the most in life were family, friends and how one spends their life on earth. He enjoyed literature, the arts, nature and outdoor recreation. His Funeral will be Tuesday, Dec. 23rd at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, No Main & Daniels St. Woonsocket.
