Helena "Bobchi" (Lepecha) Bilyj

Helena "Bobchi" (Lepecha) Bilyj passed away peacefully on Friday at the Trinity Health and
Rehabilitation Ctr. in Woonsocket, she was the loving wife of Peter Bilyj. Born Jan. 7, 1926, in the Ukraine,
she was the daughter of the late Pantalej & Darko (Bakalo) Lepecha. She and her husband arrived in this country in 1949, settling in Woonsocket. . Helena was the proprietor & Hairdresser of the former Helene's Beauty Salon in Woonsocket for many years before retiring. She also was a school lunch aide for the Woonsocket School Dept..
She was a communicant, a member of the Ladies Sodality and was very active at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Woonsocket. also she was a well known saleslady for AVON. Always thinking about her family in the Ukraine, she returned many times to visit and to help them in any possible way. Besides her husband she leaves two sons Jaroslaw "Jerry" Bilyj of No. Providence and Roman Bilyj of Woonsocket, a daughter, Helen Bradshaw of Warwick.
She was the loving Bobchi to 5 grandchildren Pasha DeFreitas and her husband Michael, Justin Bilyj and his fiance Nicole Tarra Bilyj, Carlton & Laura Bradshaw. also three great grandchildren Michael, Madison & Jayden.
Her Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Devine Liturgy at 10:30 A.M. in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Blackstone St, Woonsocket. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. In lieu of
