Helen was a very dedicated worker, in all the jobs she held during her lifetime. She started as a teenager, working at Najarian's lunch counter. She soon changed jobs to work as a skilled seamstress at Finklesteins, and later went on to work at Royal Robes and Healthtex. Helen's last job before retiring was working for CVS. Helen was a valuable member of the company, and held positions of leadership. She loved the people she worked with, and they loved her, and because work was so much fun, she returned to CVS part time, before completely retiring.
When someone thinks of Helen, they think of her large smile, big laugh, and beautiful eyes. She was always the life of the party!whether she was hiking up a mountain, jumping off a boat, or picking blueberries.Very energetic, Helen experienced life with great gusto and enthusiasm.
Helen had many interests and hobbies!. She always enjoyed her flowers and vegetable garden, her daily one hour walk, playing scrabble, the daily jumble in the newspaper, cooking wonderful meals, lots of shopping and bargain hunting, dancing at Polish picnics, or just dancing while listening to the radio.
Helen liked to be in good physical shape, she hardly sat still for very long, and was either swimming or walking, especially while on vacation. Additionally, traveling was very fun for her, she visited her three children and their families quite often, and loved the ocean and fresh air. Going out on the boat, was one of her favorite pastimes, a close second was walking on Narragansett Pier. She travelled to many places, just to name a few, New York, Phoenix, Mexico, Las Vegas, and California.
Helen, being a wonderful mother, she was adored by her children and grandchildren, she will be extremely missed.with huge sorrow. Helen's family would like to thank the staff at the Apple Rehab.
