Francis "Frank" A. Borek

Francis (Frank) Andrew Borek, a lifelong resident of Millville, MA. , died at Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge, MA.
on August 22, 2012 at the age of 93. Frank was born on January 13, 1919, the son of Joseph and Mary (Bozek) Borek.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Jennie (Stanley) Borek. , his beloved children, John of Millville,
Gail of Boston, and Michael and his wife Deborah of Colorodo, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nieces
and a nephew. Frank worked at Borek's Market with his father until joining the Army in 1942, serving in the European
Theatre. Frank and Jennie were married in 1947 and later became owners and operators of Borek's Market retiring in 1985.
At the time of his death, Frank was the oldest member of the Millville Polish American Citizens Club, a lifelong parishioner
St. Augustine's Church, the oldest Veteran in Millville, and a member of the Milford Elks Club. Frank was recognized as
Citizen of the Year by the Lions Club. He received several Certificate of Appreciation awards for his generous contributions to
the St. Monica's Guild, the Lioness Club, the Millville Boy Scouts and the Uxbridge Junior League. Borek's Market was
one of the original sponsors of the Millville Little League and remained a strong supporter for decades. Frank enjoyed
going deep sea fishing with his two buddies and later on in life enjoyed gardening. Relatives and Friends are invited to
a Memorial Mass at St. Augustine's Church, 17 Lincoln St. Millville, MA. at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1st.
