Frances Grace (Lizotte, Osgood) Atstupenas, 83, passed away on May 9th , 2020, from COVID-19, at the St. Camillus Health Ctr. In Northbridge, MA. Fran, as she was known by her friends and family was a prior Blackstone resident, residing in Early Village. She was the wife of the late Albert Atstupenas. Born, May 11, 1936, in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Mederic & Noella (Levasseur) Lizotte-Bergeron. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
She attended the Blackstone School System and graduated from BMR in 1954. She was an advocate and volunteered at the Bourdon Blvd, Improvement Committee (BBIC), SPAC, and was on the Housing Board of Directors and was also the Secretary of the Board where she resided with her family for several years, prior to moving to Blackstone. Fran was a Country & Western singer and performed several times at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA., in 1969 to early 1970. Fran was known to perform at many family functions, singing her favorite songs like Crazy, Jambalaya, and D.I.V.O.R.C.E., to name a few. She had a passion for playing BINGO, and visiting the area casinos with friends and family.
She leaves behind her children, Robin (Michael) Gosselin of Maine, Ross A. (Barbara) Atstupenas of Blackstone, Richard (Debbie) Atstupenas of Pennsylvania, Laura (Osgood) Bruce Snell of Whitinsville, Jeffrey (Mary) Osgood of Woonsocket, Sheri (Osgood) Lemay of Manville, Andrea (Osgood) Meyers of Manville, Russell (Karen) Atstupenas of Blackstone, Bruce Osgood of California, Bob (Barbara) Atstupenas of Harrisville, and Rhonda (Charles) Riley of North Kingstown, 22 Grandchildren and 24 Great grandchildren. Her brothers, Charles (Michelle) Lizotte of No. Smithfield, Lucien (Ellen) Lizotte of Blackstone, Henry Lizotte of Blackstone, Raymond Lizotte of Providence and her sister Jeannette (Lizotte) Gagnon of Uxbridge.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Peter, Arthur, Albert, Helen, Bertha & Florence (Charlotte) Lizotte.
