Edward W. Leja, Sr

Edward W. Leja Sr. of No. Smithfield, RI, passed away peacefully on Wed. Jan.27th surrounded by his family at the Milbury Health & Nursing Center in Milbury, MA. He was the loving husband to Shirley (Decelle) Leja. Born March 13, 1939 in Woonsocket, son of the late Josef & Carolina (Landa) Leja.
Edward was an auto technician for 39 years for the R.H. Long Motor Sales in Framingham, MA. retiring in 2007.
Besides his wife, he leaves 3 sons: Edward W. (Jr.) and his wife Patricia Leja of Millville, MA.
Theodore J. Leja of No. Smithfield, RI & Frederick J. Leja of Douglas, MA. a daughter, Deborah A. Bowditch of Douglas, MA. 2 Grandchildren, Edward & Corey. He was the brother to the late John, Stanley, & Joseph Leja.
His Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 A.M. form the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Theresa's Church, 35 Dion Dr. Harrisville, RI. Relatives & Friends are invited. Burial will be private and take place at a later date. Visitation hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
