Obituary

Diane M. Choinere-McKenna 62, died Thursday January 6th, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife to the late John McKenna. She was born in Boston to Dorothy Ferris and James Ferris of Millis. Her siblings are her brother the late James Ferris, and sister Carol Ferrissis-Hobel of Kings Park, New York. She graduated from Millis High School.

   Diane was a solderer for the manufacturing division of Honeywell for 7 years before finding her real passion of teaching children. She worked for Woonsocket Head Start and the Woonsocket Park & Recreation for many years.

   Diane loved the outdoors and nature. She would often enjoy feeding the ducks and geese at local ponds. She loved animals especially cats and birds. She had a golden heart and love for all.

Besides her sister she is Survived by her son Tyler McKenna and two daughters Shona McKenna and Dakota McKenna all of Woonsocket. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Gianna George and Alyas McKenna both of East Providence.

Her service will be held Wednesday January 12 from 6 to 8 pm at the Kubaska Funeral Home 33 Harris Ave Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family.
