Conrad Bibeault, Jr Obituary

Conrad G. Bibeault Jr, 85, of Blackstone, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 17, 2025. Born in Woonsocket RI, January 1, 1940; he was the son of the late Conrad G. Bibeault Sr and Mary (Jacob), and the brother of the late Constance Schatz.

He was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy (Woonsocket RI), Providence College (BA Natural Science), and WPI (Master’s Natural Science). He was a teacher of Chemistry and Physics for over 42 years. He began his career at Woonsocket High School, followed by 20 years at Holy Name High School (Worcester, MA), and 20 years at Northbridge High School (MA). He was a cross country and track coach for over 35 years. In retirement, he continued teaching Chemistry and Physics at Blackstone-Millville Regional High School. He was adored by all his students.

His biggest joy in life was time spent with his family. He was an avid golfer and sports fan of local high schools and New England teams.  He is survived by the love of his life for 63 years, Eileen J. (Frigon) Bibeault, his daughter Nancy Sawtelle and her husband Alfred, his son Eric and his wife Jennifer (Sanderson). He also leaves four grandchildren: Meaghan Sawtelle and her fiancé, Sean Martin Jr., Dr. Lindsey Patulak (Sawtelle) and her husband Dean, Kyle Sawtelle, and Logan Bibeault. He was predeceased by his grandson Matthew Sawtelle.

Additionally, Conrad leaves behind his sister Barbara Lanoue and her partner Lawrence Wilson, and a sister-in-law Joyce (Frigon) Roy and late husband Alan Roy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Kubaska Funeral Home Woonsocket, RI. Services will be private. There will be a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of UMass Memorial Health Center, 2 Lake Side ICU and the 7 West Nurses for their excellent care and compassion.
