Chester R. Stokloza
Born in Woonsocket, Chet was the son of Chester Stokloza and Anna ( Kurowski) Stokloza of Woonsocket.
Chet, an entrepreneur, was the proprietor of Specialty Ski and Bike Shop of Bellingham, MA for many years and was an avid skier and outdoorsman. Author of several religious books and articles on Catholic Evangelization, he was connected and inspired by the church also served as the Director of Religious Studies at St. Theresa's church in Blackstone, MA.
Chet loved sports, family and friends and gave back to the local community through religious education, sport activities and stewardship.
A member of the AMC 4,000 ft club, certified Ski Instructor and ski patrolman, Chet enjoyed life to the fullest. He also served his country for three years in the United States Air Force stationed in Garmish, Germany and was a member of Knight of Columbus in Millville, MA.
He is survived by sister Charlotte Forget of Woonsocket, RI and brother Michael Stoklosa and six grandchildren ages 4 to 15. His Funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Theresa's Church, 630 Rathbun St. Blackstone, MA. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Kubaskafuneralhome.com
