Anna Hreczuck (Cherkas)
96, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2016.
She was the wife of the late Michael Hreczuck, they were married for 64 years.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary (Symcrysyn) Cherkas.
Anna worked in textiles all her life until retirement where she joined her husband to run their apple orchard in Harrisville.
She was a long time parishioner of St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Woonsocket
where she was a member of the Lady's Sodality. She was known for her beautiful flower gardens and apple pies.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Michael "David" and his wife Paula of Lincoln,
and a daughter, Jacqueline Pollock of Cumberland.
She is the loving grandmother of six, great grandmother of ten, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Andrew and Paul Cherkas and Anastasia Rouette.
Her Funeral will be Friday at 10:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 74 Harris Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visitation hours are Thursday, (March 10th) from 5:00 to 8:0 P.M. Relatives & Friends are invited. A Panachida service will be officiatd at 7:30 P.M. by the Rev. Borislav Kroner in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 74 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, RI, 02895,
