Robert P. Bibeault

Robert P. Bibeault, 82, of North Smithfield passed away on October 2 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, RI with his loving family by his side after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Jane (Jerominek) Bibeault, and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in January, 2018.

 

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Donat Bibeault and Emma (Perreault) Bibeault. He was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, and a Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict.  Robert operated several service stations in the Woonsocket area, and was employed by Blackstone Valley Electric/National Grid for 30 years until his retirement in 1992.

 

Robert was a lifetime member of the Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club in Burrillville, and the Polish-American Citizens Club in Millville, MA. He enjoyed hunting, deep-sea fishing, boating, and traveling with his wife in their motorhome upon retirement in Florida. They were residents of Port Richey, FL from 2007-2014.

 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Providence College Professor Michael Edward Bibeault, and his husband Leonard Cioe Jr. of North Providence, two daughters, Jennifer Stevens and her husband Chester, and Jessica Parker and her husband Michael of Uxbridge, MA, and five grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Benjamin, Finnegan, and Elizabeth. Robert is also survived by his brother John (Ronnie) Bibeault of Woonsocket, and was predeceased by two sisters, Jacqueline Boucher and Frances Savini.

His Funeral will be  Thursday, (Oct. 12th), at  9:00 A.M.  from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave, Woonsocket  with a Funeral Service at 10:30 A.M. in the Funeral Home. Relatives & Friends are invited. Burial with Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visitation hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
