Mary Wojcik Obituary

Mary Julia Wojcik, 90, of Blackstone, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday June 2nd.  She was surrounded by her loving family and her cherished cat “Boo-Boo”.Mary was the wife and soulmate of the late Joseph Wojcik. They were married for over 50 years until Joseph’s passing in 2004. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Gniadek) Gucfa. Mary was a lifelong resident of Blackstone, MA.  She took pride in her role as homemaker for her children and grandchildren.   She enjoyed gardening, reading and helping at her family’s farm, Wojcik’s Farm, in Blackstone.  She had a quick wit and a love for family get-togethers.She is survived by 4 children: Joseph Wojcik and his wife Lorraine of Blackstone, MA; Thomas Wojcik of Millville, MA; James “Chip” Wojcik and his wife Grace of Blackstone, MA; and Cheryl Wojcik-Jolicoeur also of Blackstone.  Mary leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Elsie Gucfa, as well as many close friends. Her funeral will be held Friday June 15th at 9am at the Kubaska Funeral Home in Woonsocket, RI.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Paul’s Church in Blackstone, MA.  Burial will follow at St. Pauls’ cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday June 14th from 4pm-8pm.
