Hubert A. Champagne, 90, a resident of the Friendly Home passed away peacefully on Monday at the Friendly Home. He was the loving husband of the late Marie-Ange Lamoureux-Champagne. Born, Oct. 1, 1927 in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Wilfred & Lucy (Henault) Champagne. He resided in Woonsocket all his life. Before retiring, Hubert was a quality Controller for the Foxboro, Co. He proudly served his country , serving in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the All Saints Christian Group, Golden Heart Club, the St. Germaine Manor Social Club and the local V.F. W. Lodge. He enjoyed playing cards, & dancing. He was an avid Red Sox & Patriot fan. He is survived by a step-son Alfred A. Brissette Sr. of Pawtucket, a step-daughter Florence M. Lamoureux of Dexter, Me. 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren & 6 great great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ralph & Mary Beth Champagne, Rose Lanoue, Yvonne Lefebvre, Simone Sheehan, Gertrude Haganey, Theresa Dube & Germaine Kubaska. His Funeral will be Friday, (Feb. 2nd), at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at All Saints Parish, Rathbun St. Woonsocket, Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery ,Bellingham, MA.
