George R. Stolasz

George R. Stolasz, 74, of Chepachet, RI, passed away on Sunday at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband to Donna (Ryder) Stolasz. Born Nov. 24, 1943, in Woonsocket he was the son of the late George & Ida (Samek) Stolasz. He was employed as a steel fabricator for many years at various Iron -Metal Works Co’s. in the local area. He then retired from the Bellingham School Dept. He served in the Army Corp of Engineering in the Army National Guard. He was an avid wildlife enthusiast, especially studying all species of birds. His favorite pastimes were hunting , fishing, and learning the history of WW11.

Besides his  wife he leaves 2 sons, Michael Stolasz of Central Falls, RI, Robert Stolasz of Glocester, RI, 2 brothers, Joseph Stolasz of Melbourne, FL. Theodor “Ted” and his wife Louise Stolasz of Bristol. RI. , 2 step daughters, Christine Paupst of Pascoag, RI and Sandra Corin of Coventry, RI. Also 6 step grandchildren. His Funeral will be  Thursday, (Aug. 16th) at 10:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home , 33 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church , 174 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, Burial will be Private, Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. In leau  of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, RI Chaptor, 245 Waterman St. STE 306, Providence, RI, 02906.
