Donna M. (Burnett) Desmarais

Donna M. (Burnett) Desmarais, 58, passed away peacefully on February 10th, at Landmark Medical Center.  She is survived by her husband of 38 years Robert C. Desmarais, 61 of Woonsocket, RI.  She was the daughter of the late James Edward Burnett of Virginia and the late Mary Beatrice Mchugh of Providence, RI.  Besides her husband she is survived by her son, Timothy C. Desmarais of Woonsocket, RI and her daughter Vicki L. (Desmarais) Gonzalez and her son-in-law Efrain S. Gonzalez of North Smithfield, RI and one Granddaughter Erika R. Gonzalez. 

Before Donna's illness, she spent most of her life as a caregiver not only to her family but to  many others.  Her home was always open to extended family, and she was known to many as "mom".  She was everyone's mom.  Before retiring from Wyndemere Woods she worked at the Paul's Specialized Foster Care Home and Dunkin Donuts.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her pride and joy Granddaughter.  

She is also survived by her 5 siblings, her two sisters, Dale Lee Buck of Barrington, RI., Deborah Ann Beaudry of Tennessee, and three brothers, James Edward Burnett of Arizona, John Thomas Burnett of Warwick, RI and Joseph Edward Burnett of Warwick, RI.

She also leaves behind many sister in-laws, brother in-laws and nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.   Visitation hours will be held Saturday, (Feb. 23rd) from 2- 4 pm at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave. Woonsocket, RI with a prayer service at 4pm. Relatives & Friends are invited.  Burial will be private.
