Theresa M. (Auclair) Dowhan

Theresa M. (Auclair) Dowhan, 84, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully  on Sunday at the Friendly Home, with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Dowhan.  Born, Jan. 29, 1933 in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Omer & Mary (Dominic) Auclair, she resided in Woonsocket all her life.  Theresa was a winder for many years at various Textile Co’s in the Woonsocket area before retiring.  She was a member, communicant and past president of the Ladies Sodality and very active  at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church  in Woonsocket.  She also was a  volunteer at the Woonsocket Senior Citizens Center.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.  She is survived by 2 sons, Peter Dowhan of West Greenwich , RI,  & Michael Dowhan of Dartsmouth, MA. also 2 Grandchildren, she was the sister of the late Romeo Auclair.  Her Funeral will be Friday, (Dec. 15th)  at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home with a Mass of Devine Liturgy at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 394 Blackstone St. Woonsocket.
