Samuel DeRotto

Samuel A. DeRotto 89, of Smithfield, formerly of Providence (Silver Lake), passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2017 surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Abbaticola).  Samuel was a communicant of St. Bartholomew’s Church and worked as a Tile Laborer for Joliquer & Resmini, Admiral Tile.  He also served in the US Army between January, 1946 and June, 1947.  Samuel will be missed but his family will carry on his traditions of kindness, working hard, and showing love to all.

Samuel is survived by his children, Michael DeRotto and his wife Danielle (Bourassa) of Burrillville and Joanne Boyer and her husband Bruce of Cumberland. He was the cherished grandfather of Kristen, Brian, Rachel, and Samuel DeRotto and Alexis Boyer.

His Funeral will be Friday, August 18th at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Church, St. Paul St. Blackstone, MA.  Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston, RI. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours are Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
