Jennie Borek

Jennie (Stanley) Borek of Millville, MA died at Milford Regional Hospital on December 5, 2017 at the age of 92. Jennie was born in Woonsocket, RI on August 5, 1925, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Cirka) Stanley. She was the wife of the late Frank Borek who passed in 2012. She leaves three children, John of Florida, Gail of Millville, and Michael and his wife Deborah of Colorado, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and worked as a telephone operater in Woonsocket before she got married. She and her husband Frank owned and operated Borek's Market in Millville for many years before retiring in 1985. Jennie was a member of the Friends of the Library, St. Monica's Guild, and a volunteer at the Millville Senior Center. She was also an avid reader. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church, 17 Lincoln Street, Millville, MA at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14. She will be buried with her husband Frank in the family plot in Blackstone, MA.
