John Bibeault Obituary

John “Ronnie” Bibeault, 90, formerly of Woonsocket, died peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024. He was born on December 13,1933 to Donat and Emma Bibeault in Woonsocket. John was predeceased by his loving wife Ellen (Eddy) Bibeault, his son John Bibeault Jr., his brother Robert Bibeault, and his sisters Frances Savini and Jacqueline Boucher.  

John is survived by his children, Matthew Bibeault and wife Ann, Carolyn Parker, Mark Bibeault and partner Christina Heon, Susan Bibeault, and Anne Bibeault as well as by his grandchildren, Jessica (Parker) Magano and husband Phillip, Samuel Bibeault and finance Sarah Kraich, Emma Daignault, Paige Bibeault, Natalie Bibeault, and his great grandson, Sonny Daignault.

John was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and Providence College. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, serving from 1951 to 1982. John taught English at Woonsocket High School from 1966 through 1990 and finished his teaching career at Harmony Hill in 2002. John also spent many years teaching ESL and citizenship classes through various adult education programs.

John enjoyed traveling, reunions for the U.S.S. Missouri, learning Spanish, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His other hobbies included sleeping through Red Sox games, gardening, and finding new and innovative ways of keeping woodchucks out of his yard.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name can be made directly to the Veterans Memorial Museum of RI, 78 Earle St, Woonsocket, RI 02895. His Funeral will be on Saturday, (April 27th) at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, corner of No. Main & Daniels St. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Relatives & Friends are invited. Visitation hours will be on Friday, (April 26th) from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kubaska Funeral Home, 33 Harris Ave. Woonsocket.
